While the lockdowns we went through all spring have definitely started to loosen, we’re still seeing the effects of the virus. It seems that most summer events have been cancelled and even fall events are in doubt. As we’ve had to do for the last several months we’ll just continue to play it by ear, and proceed with whatever scheduled events we can. We’re also going to try to be a little creative with our solutions to problems.            One example of that creativity is what we did for the June Dinner ride. We couldn’t hold it at the restaurant where is was originally scheduled, so instead we met at the Whitnall Park beer garden and had a great time.                                                                                                Fortunately, we know we can have our July breakfast and dinner rides at the planned restaurants. Both the Country Rose in Racine county and the Mineshaft in Hartford are open for dining in and we’ll be able to have our rides to these fine establishments as planned. We’re really looking forward to a return to something resembling normalcy.       Unfortunately, we can’t say that about our usual meeting place for our socials. WaterStone bank is being extremely cautious right now. We had to cancel our June social because they won’t allow us to use the community room. It’s unknown when, if ever, we’ll be able to use it in the future. Only time will tell. We are quite sure our annual Corn Roast/Picnic in August will be able to go on. Milwaukee county parks are all open again so our reservation should be good. Looking forward to seeing fellow bikers from other chapters again, as we have in several previous years.                                                       As far as we know all our Chapter G members have stayed healthy throughout this whole ordeal, and we hope and pray it continues that way. We’d love to see you all at our upcoming events.
